Corey Everly
Corey Everly is a collaborative pianist, coach, and conductor. A student of J. J. Penna, he will graduate from Westminster Choir College with a master’s degree in piano accompanying and coaching in 2016. He is the accompanist for the GRAMMY-nominated Westminster Williamson Voices (James Jordan, conductor) and has accompanied the Westminster Schola Cantorum on multiple U. S. tours and the Westminster Chapel Choir at Carnegie Hall. Most recently, he served as Assistant Conductor and Chorus Master for Opera on the Avalon in Newfoundland, Canada. In 2013, he was the Chorus Master for Britten’s Saint Nicholas at the Shipley Arts Festival in West Sussex, UK. He has conducted over 30 musical theatre/opera productions spanning a wide range of styles and holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Westminster Choir College, where he studied with Faith Esham.

Jonathan Palmer Lakeland
Born in the United States, Jonathan Palmer Lakeland is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music. He attends the Academy on the American Society for the Royal Academy of Music scholarship and the Elsie Doris Prater award where he studies accompanying with Michael Dussek, Malcolm Martineau, Julius Drake, and James Baillieu, and conducting with Sian Edwards and Paul Brough.
Jonathan received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, Accompanying, and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. Here, he studied piano with Dr. James Goldsworthy and Dr. JJ Penna. Upon graduating, he was hired as a staff accompanist at Westminster, collaborating with voice faculty including Christopher Arneson, Laura Brooks Rice, Faith Esham, and Claudia Catania. In the summer of 2013, he was admitted to the school’s CoOPERAtive Opera Coach/Accompanying training program, where he studied with Martin Katz and Kathleen Kelly. He joined CoOPERAtive again to assistant conduct their production of "La Fille du Regiment" in January, 2014.
From 2010 - 2014, Jonathan served as the Principal Accompanist for the Westminster Williamson Voices- a select choral ensemble at Westminster Choir College under the direction of Dr. James Jordan. These extraordinary years saw many concert appearances at venues including Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center; the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter and Paul, Philadelphia; Lancing College Chapel, Sussex, UK; and SJE Arts, Oxford, UK. In December 2013, the Williamson Voices were nominated for a GRAMMY award (Best Choral Performance) for their recording of, "Annelies” by James Whitbourn.
Now at the Academy, Jonathan continues to make regular appearances on the concert stage. In this 2015-2016 concert season, Jonathan will make his debuts at Wigmore Hall, the Oxford Lieder Festival, and the Leeds Lieder Festival alongside singers including Claire Barnett-Jones, Bozidar Smiljanic, Michael Mofidian, and Olivia Warburton. Previous concert seasons included appearances at venues including Colston Hall (Bristol), St. James Paddington (London), and at the Royal Academy of Music’s David Josefowitz Recital Hall (London), and Sir Jack Lyons Theatre. He works regularly in the teaching studio of Sarah Walker CBE, and with Academy coaches including Richard Stokes and Audrey Hyland, among others. He has been heard in masterclasses led by musicians including Sir Thomas Allen and Bengt Forsberg. In April 2015, Jonathan joined five other young pianists and conductors from around the world to participate in the opera répetitéur training course at the Georg Solti Accademia in Venice, Italy. While here, he studied with Richard Bonynge CBE, Annette Saunders, and Jonathan Papp.
Jonathan has studied conducting since the age of 16 with teachers including James Jordan, Charles Barber, Carole Ann Maxwell, and David Gilbert. He has participated in a number of masterclasses, and held several conducting positions with orchestras in the USA. In 2008 he was admitted as a member of the New York Philharmonic's conservatory collaboration program for young conductors, allowing him to participate in masterclasses with Lorin Maazel and Esa-Pekka Salonen.
Jonathan is a published author, and is currently writing a book on choral accompanying for GIA Publications Inc. He has served as a guest lecturer on this topic at the University of Buffalo, Westminster Choir College, the Choral Institute at Oxford, and the Westminster chapter of the National Association for Music Education.
